‘Ured’ Building in Kragujevac was constructed in 1931 to house the Workers’ Insurance Office, according to the design of architect Bogdan Nestorović, a professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade. The building is integrated into a compact architectural unit, with a prominent cut-corner section. This is accentuated by a monumental central, semi-circular entrance. The building has a basement, a high ground floor, and an upper floor. In addition to administrative offices, it also contained medical facilities: two general practice clinics, as well as surgical, ophthalmic, ear, dental, gynecological, anti-tuberculosis, and pulmonary departments, as well as an X-ray section. Built in the spirit of academicism, its structure is based on proven architectural patterns, simultaneously intertwined with modernist functionalism. The façade reflects modern neoclassical architecture, emphasizing geometric design and clean, simple façade surfaces.
