The Turkish Bath in the territory of the Village of Grbovac is located a few hundred meters north of the last houses, near the Svilajnac-Despotovac road, in a place known as ‘Banja’. The building is in ruins. Only the central part of the bathhouse remains, with side walls, broken arches, and beginnings of pendentives above which a large dome once rose. Based on the preserved parts, it is evident that this was a representative building from the period of flourishing Islamic architecture in this region. Stylistic characteristics suggest that it dates from the second half of the 16th century. The bathhouse was constructed with a polychrome technique, alternating yellowish cut stone, thick mortar joints, and horizontally placed bricks. The decoration is enhanced by precisely proportioned Islamic arches that emerge from the wall mass, creating a relief play of light and shadow. Based on its dimensions and craftsmanship, the bathhouse ranks among the most significant monuments of Islamic art in central Serbia.
