The Old House of Radomir Lazović in Toponica is one of the oldest buildings of this type in the Gruža region. The building is situated on a sloped terrain, with high foundation walls on the lower side, and a cellar built on that part. The walls are made of rubble stone, plastered and whitewashed. The roof is gently sloped, with a four-sided pitch, and covered with tiles. Two tall chimneys dominate the roof. The windows on the building are smaller with wooden shutters. The interior features a “house” with a hearth and two rooms. The floor is made of compacted earth, and the ceiling is made of wooden planks.
The building appears monumental and is a valuable example of 19th-century vernacular architecture. Its historical significance is further enhanced by the auxiliary structures in the yard: a hayrack, dairy, and granary.
