JAGODINA

amidzin konak u kragujevcu, milosev venac, zavod za zastitu spomenika kulture kragujevac

The Old House in Jagodina is located at 18 Stanoja Glavaša Street. It was built in the mid-19th century. With its harmonious proportions and symmetrical design, it is a typical example of urban architecture from that period. It was constructed using a timber frame construction system. The roof has a gentle pitch, is gabled, and covered with tiles. The house consists of eight rooms and a porch, which on the right side ends with a dormer, elevated by one step. The porch is dominated by four decorative columns. The ceiling is made of profiled wooden beams, and a rosette is located in the section above the dormer. From the porch, which stretches halfway along the length of the main facade, one enters the central room. From this room, there are separate doors leading to each of the remaining seven rooms. The ceilings have been preserved in three rooms. Most of the rooms still have their original doors and windows. The windows have iron bars, which are free at the top and end in a spear shape. Opposite the entrance door, there is an exit to the yard.
