The Building at No. 5 Svetozara Markovića Street was declared a cultural monument by the Decision of the Institute for Scientific Research of Cultural Monuments in Belgrade, No. 66/48, dated January 17, 1948.
The House at No. 5 Svetozara Markovića Street in Kragujevac was built by Sima Milosavljević Pastromac, known as “Amidža’, a close friend and state advisor to Prince Miloš (Serbian Knez Miloš), in the 1820s, as a private residence. It belongs to the type of developed single-story buildings that were very common in Serbia during that period. The walls are constructed in a bondruktechique, with a filling of brick and plastered. The roof is a gable roof, covered with tiles.
