The House at No. 17 Svetozara Markovića Street (now No. 15) in Kragujevac was built in the first half of 19th century and is a typical city house from the time of Miloš Obrenović. It was constructed as a single-story house on flat terrain, with the main part facing the street. The walls are built using the bondruk system, with a filling of brick and mud bricks. The house still serves a residence, just as it was originally intended. Although it lacks special architectural decorations, it is significant as a building constructed during the period of Kragujevac’s development as Miloš’s capital.
