Not far from the center of the village, along the road leading to Konjusha, stands The Building of the Old School in Toponica. It was built in 1922 on the heritage of Dr. Milan Kićevac, the stepfather of Vladimir Dedijer, with the active help of the people of Toponica and Kusovac. The school was constructed as a typical village school building between the two wars, rectangular in shape, made of brick, with a four-sided roof covered with tiles. The interior layout of the rooms was fully adapted to its function. A few decades ago, the building was converted into a residential space, which altered its original appearance.

During the National Liberation War (NOR), this building played a significant role since 1941. It housed a medical facility where several dozen fighters, as well as wounded individuals who had escaped execution on October 21, 1941, in Kragujevac, were treated.
