The Monastery Complex of Namasija in Zabrega was designated as a cultural heritage – cultural monument, by the Decision of the Cultural Heritage Preservation Institute Kragujevac, No. 361/1, dated July 30, 1975. It was later classified as an immovable cultural heritage of great importance by the Decision of the Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Serbia on July 21, 1983 (‘Official Gazette of the SRS’, No. 28/83).
This Monastery Complex in the Village of Zabrega is dedicated to St. Nicholas. It was established at the end of the 14th century and remained active until the end of the 17th century, when it was abandoned and never restored. The complex consists of a courtyard with a church in the central part, along with economic and other auxiliary buildings. The church was designed as a three-apsed structure with a narthex, semicircular apses, and a chapel added to the southern side. The church's fresco layers have not been preserved, but in the chapel, the frescoes remain intact in the base and altar areas, up to a height of 1 meter. The chapel was built using alternating layers of clay and brick in horizontal rows, modestly adorned with stone-carved door frames and a lunette above the door.
