The Memorial House in Toponica is one of the most significant buildings from the National Liberation War period in the entire Gruža region. In 1941, it served as the headquarters of the Kragujevac Partisan Detachment. Additionally, several party and military leaders from the National Liberation Movement across Serbia stayed there. It was built in the 19th century on a sloping terrain, so part of the building is supported by a high foundation wall. A cellar was constructed on this part. The walls are made of wattle and daub, plastered and whitewashed. The roof has a gentle slope, is hipped, and covered with tiles. A tall chimney dominates the roof. On the main facade of the building, there is a white marble plaque commemorating the significant events of 1941 that took place in this building.
