MEMORIAL FOUNTAIN
IN THE VILLAGE OF DIVOSTIN
The Fountain, erected in honor of the late King Milan Obrenović, was built by the Kragujevac Hunting Association on June 20, 1901, at the monastery in the Village of Divostin, near Kragujevac. It was constructed from stone. Above the spout is a memorial plaque with an inscription. Dominating the fountain is a cross, carved from stone. It was built at a long-known spring, which is believed to have existed since the Neolithic era.
The Memorial Fountain in the Village of Divostin was designated as a cultural heritage – cultural monument, by the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia No. 633-6872/2001-8, dated July 17, 2001, and published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia No. 46 on July 27, 2001.
