Conservation and Restoration Works on the Monument
‘100 for One’ in the Memorial Park in Šumarice
The monument ‘100 for One’ is an artwork by sculptor Nandor Glida (1924-1997). It was erected in 1980 with the help of the citizens of the municipality of Modriča. The author presented the famous command, after which the monument is named, with a network of intertwined human bodies in painful spasms and death throes, which together form the crown of a large tree (a symbol of life). The monument is made of bronze on a reinforced concrete pedestal.
