The Crystal Flower Monument was erected at the site where, alongside a group of adults, fifteen Roma boys, young shoe shiners, were also buried. It was built in 1968 based on the first-prize-winning design by architect Nebojša Delја. Its geometric form represents a cut flower with white petals in a dark cup, symbolizing a suddenly interrupted youth, with the contrast between the innocence and a purity of a child’s soul and their dark complexion.

In mid-2022, under the guidance of the Cultural Heritage Preservation Institute Kragujevac, extensive conservation and restoration works were completed, funded by the Ministry of Labour, Veterans' and Social Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, which fully restored this monumental complex. The works were carried out by Tandem Gradnja LLC from Kragujevac, based on the design documentation created by the agency Kon.Forma Engineering from Kragujevac.
