Archaeologists from the Cultural Heritage Preservation Institute Kragujevac conducted research at the ‘Crkvina’ site in the Village of Kamenicа near Kragujevac in 2012, 2013, and 2014. The project investor was the Flores company from Kragujevac.

Based on the discovered artifacts and architectural features, the revealed structure is dated to the first half of the 15th century. The church has a triconch plan, with exterior dimensions of 10.60m × 10.60m. A necropolis was discovered around the church, formed after the construction of the church.

On the day of the church's consecration by His Enlightenment Bishop of Šumadija, Jovan, an exhibition of photographs titled ‘Archaeological Research of the 'Crkvina' Site in Kamenica’ was organized by the Cultural Heritage Preservation Institute Kragujevac
