The Watermill in the Village of Grošnica, six kilometers from Kragujevac, a meeting of the District Committee of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia for the Kragujevac district was held on July 12, 1941. During this meeting, a decision was made to launch to uprising in this part of Šumadija.

 

The Watermill was built at the end of 18th century, as can be inferred from its stylistic characteristics as well as from its local tradition. Over time, it has undergone certain alterations and expansions, but it has largely retained its original appearance.

THE WATERMILL IN GROŠNICA

The Watermill in Grošnica was designated as a cultural heritage – cultural monument, by the Decision of the Cultural Heritage Preservation Institute Kragujevac, No. 97/1, dated January 10, 1972.
