On a gentle rise above the Village of Jarmenovci, in the central part of the churchyard, not far from the new church, stands a church dedicated to the Holy Virgin. Originally, this small church was built in the nearby Village of Belanovci in the mid-18th century, but in 1860, during the construction of the new church, it was moved to Jarmenovci.

The church's interior construction resembles the type of log church, while its exterior appearance gives the impression of a building with a timber-frame system and a gently sloped gable roof, making it look more like a secular structure than a religious one. It has an elongated foundation with a three-sided apse on the eastern part. The walls are plastered and painted yellow. It is vaulted with a semi-domed ceiling. It consists of a small narthex and the naos.

From the 18th-century iconostasis, only the royal doors and two of the prominent icons have been preserved. The royal doors depict the Annunciation, and the prominent icons feature representations of the Holy Mother and Christ Pantocrator. The iconographer who painted these icons was of Greek origin, as evidenced by the signature left in the lower left corner of the icon of the Holy Mother. In addition to the master's signature, the icon also bears a donor's text, along with the year of the icon's creation, which is difficult to read, but it is certain that the icons were created in the 1790s.

THE OLD CHURCH IN JARMENOVCI

A part of the 18th-century iconostasis with the royal doors and two altar icons in the Old Church in Jarmenovci was declared a cultural monument by the Decision of the Cultural Heritage Preservation Institute Kragujevac, No. 186/1 from March 20, 1972. The Old Church in Jarmenovci itself was declared a cultural monument by the Decision of the Municipal Assembly of Topola, No. 281 from June 3, 1994.

All the icons were painted using tempera on wooden panels that were properly prepared. The icons were painted in classical traditions, with pure colors used without glazing, and the backgrounds and haloes are golden. The icons are of uniform quality, belong to the same master, and demonstrate his great craftsmanship and adherence to tradition.
