In the House of Tanasko Rajić in Stragari is the birthplace and residence of this great Serbian soldier. The house was relocated from a short distance from its current location before being designated as a cultural heritage. It was built of wood, either at the end of 18th or the beginning of the 19th century. The structure was built on a small platform, resting on stone foundation walls. A basement is located beneath one half of the house. The ground floor consists of the living rooms and a guest room. The original house was two-parted. The house retains all of its original and authentic architectural features: windows, doors, ceiling, and basement doors.

The House of Tanaska Rajić in Stragari near Kragujevac was designated as a cultural heritage – cultural monument, by the Decision of the Assembly of the Municipality of Kragujevac, No. 02-633-3/91, dated July 9, 1991.
