amidzin konak u kragujevcu, milosev venac, zavod za zastitu spomenika kulture kragujevac

Located in the central urban zone of Kragujevac, in the heart of the city, stands the District Court and Administration Building, commonly referred to as the Court Building. This monumental structure, featuring a complex layout, consists of a ground floor and an upper story. It was constructed between 1902 and 1904 based on the designs of Nikola Nestorović, one of Serbia's most prominent architects of his time and beyond. The building was designed as a representative structure, adorned with an array of reliefs, decorative elements, and architectural ornaments on its facades. Its architectural and artistic characteristics align with European trends of the early 20th century, reflecting European eclecticism and Viennese Secession style.

The Court Building was constructed using durable materials, with foundations made of solid stone and walls built from brick. Its main facade features a monumental staircase leading to a large entrance hall typical of public buildings of the era. Above the central facade, there is a four-sided dome with a wrought-iron railing. Two figures, representing Justice and Law, are positioned at the ends of the roof cornice. The ground floor windows have arched tops, while those on the upper floor are rectangular and topped with triangular pediments.
