Archaeological research conducted at the Motel Slatina site has revealed various types of ceramic vessels and residential structures, depending on the cultural stratigraphy. The younger cultural horizons are characterized by above-ground dwellings, defined by the presence of daub, postholes for wooden construction, and floors with stone substructures. In the older cultural horizons, semi-subterranean pit-houses were discovered. Analysis of ceramic vessel fragments indicated three cultural horizons, which can generally be attributed to two developmental phases of the Vinča culture: the earlier Vinča–Tordoš phase and the later Vinča–Pločnik phase.
In addition to ceramic fragments, numerous and diverse other objects characteristic of the later Neolithic phase were found: zoomorphic and anthropomorphic figurines, altars, as well as objects made of bone, antler, flint, and stone.
All research results obtained so far at the Motel Slatina site indicate that this site represents one of the key reference points for understanding the origin and development of the Neolithic in the central Balkans.
