The Monument to Fallen Soldiers in World War I is located in the square in the center of Paraćin. It is made of reddish stone, about 5 meters in height, serving as a pedestal topped with a bronze figure representing a Serbian soldier. The monument was created by sculptor Đoka Jovanović, engineer Sima Stambolić, designer Bogoljub M. Popović – Captain 1st Class, and entrepreneur Mijajlo Stojičević. The monument was completed and erected on December 1, 1928, as evidenced by a marble plaque embedded on the pedestal.
The soldier is depicted in the uniform of a Serbian soldier from that period, in a combat stance, stepping forward, holding a rifle. The pedestal is topped with a frieze in shallow relief, stylized as a laurel wreath. On three sides of the pedestal, black marble plates are embedded, engraved with the names of fallen soldiers. On the main side, there is a conical plaque, also made of black marble, with an inscription that reads:

‘ETERNAL GRATITUDE
