The Medieval Fortified Town of Srebrnica near Stragari was designated as a cultural heritage – cultural monument, by the Decision of the Cultural Heritage Preservation Institute Kragujevac No. 95/1, dated March 19, 1969, and categorized as a cultural heritage of great importance on July 21, 1983, published in the Official Gazette of the Socialist Republic of Serbia No. 28.
Srebrnica River, south of Stragari. The earliest sources related to this site date back to 1395, under the name Srebrnica of Duke Nikola (Serbian Vojvoda Nikola).
According to some Dubrovnik records, Despot Đurađ Branković also stayed here. The foundation of the city has an irregular horseshoe shape, most likely due to the terrain on which it was situated. The remains of the mighty donjon tower are located on the eastern side. It was built from rubble stone, alternating with coarse-grained mortar. Today, the entire city lies in ruins. The best-preserved structure is the tower, about ten meters high, with a square base, built from rubble stone connected with mortar.
