amidzin konak u kragujevcu, milosev venac, zavod za zastitu spomenika kulture kragujevac

The Firehouse in Kragujevac is a representative example of eclectic architecture in the city. It was built in 1933 as an endowment of the Radojković family and handed over to the Kragujevac Volunteer Firefighters Association for use in 1936. Some of the most prominent architects of that time collaborated on this project: Mihailo Radovanović, Đorđe Kovaljevski, and Radoslav Milosavljević. This monumental corner building, with its modern architectural expression, consists of a basement, a ground floor, and a five-story observation tower with a terrace. It was constructed using brick, stone, and reinforced concrete, incorporating large structural spans. From the time of its inauguration, the building served not only its primary purpose but also as a hub for the public and cultural life of the city.
