From November 11 to 17, 2025, the 27th General Conference of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with the main theme being the future of museums in a rapidly changing world. Serbia was represented on that occasion by five delegates, three of them from the Cultural Heritage Preservation Institute Kragujevac - Director Predrag Vukašinović, Assistant Director Nenad Karamijalković and Conservator Advisor Dr. Marija Kaličanin-Krstić.

We remind that, apart from the fact that they store numerous artifacts as movable cultural heritage, Serbian museums often also present immovable cultural heritage, such as those located in the territory covered by the Cultural Heritage Preservation Institute Kragujevac (in Šumadija and Pomoravlje regions) - Museum ˮ21. October" (together with all the monuments in the Šumarice Memorial Park) and the Museum "Old Foundry" in Kragujevac, the Amidža′s Residence, the Prince Mihailo′ Residence, the Old Assembly Building and the House of Svetozar Marković (belonging to the National Museum of Šumadija), the Old School and Church in Orašac (belonging to the National Museum of Aranđelovac), the buildings of the Jagodina Local Museum, the Paraćin Local Museum, etc.
