Conservation experts from the Cultural Heritage Preservation Institute Kragujevac attended the ’DENKMAL’ Fail in Leipzig from November 7 to 9, 2024. The ’DENKMAL’ Fair is one of the most significant international events dedicated to the preservation of cultural heritage, restoration, and conservation of cultural monuments. It brought together experts in the fields of architecture, conservation, craftsmanship, ethnology, archaeology, and art history, as well as institutions and companies engaged in the preservation of cultural heritage.

The fair featured numerous exhibitions, expert lectures, workshops, and presentations of innovative technologies and materials. Special focus was given to topics of sustainability in restoration and international cooperation in the preservation of immovable cultural heritage. This visit was a great opportunity for the experts from our Institute to exchange knowledge with colleagues from Germany and to familiarize themselves with best practices and trends from across Europe.

This prestigious fair marked its thirtieth anniversary in 2024 and is known as Europe’s leading event dedicated to the monument preservation, restoration and the renovation of historic buildings. The program included over 200 expert lectures, workshops, seminars, and panel discussions, making it one of largest educational events in the industry.
