The Notable Site Miajlova’s Pit was designated as an immovable cultural heritage – notable site, by the Decision of the Despotovac Municipal Assembly, No. 06-81-4/8-01, dated April 29, 1983.
Miajlova’s Pit is a deep sinkhole in limestone located in the forest at Pasuljanske Livade. During the occupation from 1941 to 1945, Chetniks under the command of Gačić killed and threw more than a thousand people, fighters, and sympathizers of the National Liberation Movement into the pit. In 1951, a memorial plaque was placed above the pit, later replaced with a new one. Today, this memorial site is rather neglected and has difficult access.
