The Church of St. George in Gornja Mutnica is located about 200 meters from the last village houses, at the spot where the Suvara stream exits the gorge. It is a single-nave structure with a narthex built simultaneously with the nave and a semicircular apse on the eastern side. The church walls, constructed from roughly cut stone with lime mortar, are preserved up to a height of approximately 0.7 meters above the original ground level.
The church is marked on Austro-Hungarian maps from the 18th century and, based on its architectural form and proportions, has been dated to the second half of the 14th century.
